Lunch in Copenhagen – The Royal Cafe
A gorgeous cafe filled with gorgeous things and in a lovely little courtyard. Did you spot the coloured rubber duckys in the pond? Cute…
I could not decide whether to sit in the inside which was so lovely and filled with pretty little things or in the outside courtyard.
Their sign outside claimed that they invented the “smushies” which were a mini smorrebrod (Danish open sandwich). They were perfect for my first meal in Copenhagen and delicious little works of art.
I also had this really lovely tea which I wish I had bought some of to bring home. When it arrived I was disappointed to see it in a tea bag, having expected leaf tea. I later realised that they sell these little tea filter bags to use for leaf tea. Aren’t they ingenious? I bought a packet of them to bring home….but not the tea!
That is clever! Just like a coffee filter! I wonder if we could custom filter paper to work in the same way? 🙂
Very pretty photos!
Cute little cafe and sandwiches too! You can get DIY teabags at T2, but not quite the same style, check them out when you run out of the other ones maybe.
What a pretty place 🙂 I wish I could be there 🙂
